New England Stud was created in the early 1900’s and has belonged to the Stanley family since 1952.

The stud includes 300 acres of well sheltered and mature paddocks in the heart of Newmarket on prime limestone pasture benefitting from a natural supply of ground water.

The stud is currently managed by Peter Stanley who has been in residence since 1983. New England is managed in conjunction with Stanley House Stud in Newmarket – it was here that the dual Oaks and Breeders Cup winner Ouija Board was bred by Peter for his brother Edward, the 19th Earl of Derby. She recently became the first Oaks winner in history to produce a Derby winner, Australia, by a Derby winner.

The stud is home to 25 quality resident mares including stakes winners and producers such as Superstar Leo, Enticing, Pickle, Ruby Rocket, Whazzis, Wosaita, Demerger, Bantu and All For Laura etc.

Our clients include many of the leading International Breeders.

The stud is split into three distinct divisions, The Main Boarding Stud, Yearling Division & Isolation Yard.

Visitors are always welcome and it is a pleasure to have the chance to show off our bloodstock to others.
